Polish Oral History Project. prof. Pełczyński

Updated: Oct 21, 2020

Copernicana's filming crew have just completed an interview with prof Zbigniew Pelczynski, OBE. Earlier this year, Prof Pelczynski, an emeritus Oxford University Fellow from Warwickshire who taught such leaders as Bill Clinton and Victor Orban was presented with Honorary Fellowship by Blind Veterans UK. His story of surviving the massacre of Warsaw Uprising, being taken prisoner of war by Germans, illustrious academic career and incredible enthusiasm for creating academic development opportunities for gifted students from Eastern Europe has made us all humble and amazed at the magnitude of his work. Prof Pelczynski's unwavering belief in seizing every opportunity, creating countless opportunities for others and valuing success is an inspirational story on every level.
